Our Margret Mahy trip

Hi, welcome to my blog today. I will be showing you about my town trip recount

here is an Introduction. It was in town, it was Thursday the twentieth of may, we saw wakas,

Magret Mahy, Victoria Square, Tuna and Traditional Maori Mats.

 Margret Mahy - 

first we did a scavenger hunt and then we saw some pictures that were carved in the concret and a

path with carved words on it.

Waka-

Before we  could hop in the waka we learned some basic drills to help us as we went along side

the same river we saw some eals in.

Victoria Square -

When it was time to start Mrs Brown explained what we where doing at Victoria Square. Then she told as

  to get into budes I went with Olivia then we set of to explorer we found lots of stuff we fond a weeping willow tree.

Tuna and mats-

 We had a walk and looked for traditional maori mats.

My favourite part of the trip was seeing the Tuna and Mats. I liked seeing the Tuna because they were

so fast and also because they were like wigley snakes but they were in the water and they were bigger

and not as scary.I liked seeing the Mats because they were all different shapes and sizes and colors. 

Something I learnt was that all the different Mats have a message and also that they have different

colors and for the Tuna I learned that they all look different same as the Mats they also look different.

I also learned that Tuna has different colors shapes and there are different sizes.

The thing I found the most interesting was the mats because there was lots of different things to

look at and they all have different messages and different colors and also different shades of colors

like red, white and black.

This trip has helped me with my PBL because I learned that there are different kinds of mats

and that all the mats have different shapes, sizes and colors. I also learned that Tuna has different 

colors shapes and there are different sizes. I also learned that Victoria Square is named after

Queen Victoria.

 Hi bloggers, today I am going to show you my amazing maths.

Here is a example of my word problem, So we have 27X2= 54 then you do 20X2=40 and that will equal 40 after that you do 7X2=14 and that will equal and then you do 40+14=54 and the and then it will equal 54 so the answer is 54.

 Hi bloggers, Today I am going to be showing you my maths for this week. Here is a example of my word problem, So we have 33x5 so we are going to have 30X5 and that equals 150 then we are going to have 3x5 and that equals 15 and then add 150 and 15 together and then it equals 165. Here is a normal question, 50X3=(50)X3=150 150+3=153. Here is my work. Have you done place value multiplication before?

For my maths we had to make a pick a path about multiplication. I did a good job because its fun and interesting. I can improve in my work this week by making more questions.
